You can sign up from the website (www.pet24care.com), the iOS app, or the Android app. Look for the link called "Sign Up". In both the iOS and Android apps, you'll see the Sign In option as default. At the bottom of that screen, you'll see "Don't have an account" followed by a link "Sign Up". Click on this link.
1) On this Sign Up screen, make sure the "Pet Parent" tab is selected. If "Provider" is selected, toggle the tab from "Provider" to "Pet Parent".
Enter the phone number or e-mail you would like to register with. Then choose a password. In the interest of your privacy, you will be asked to choose a password that meets our security policy. Click on "Sign Up".
2) You will now be asked to verify your e-mail or phone number. Enter the verification code that you just received on your phone in an SMS or in your e-mail. If you didn't receive the code yet, you can click "Resend Verification Code" which will generate and send you a new verification code. Be sure to check for this code in your spam or trash folder if you don't see it in your inbox or primary folder.
3) You'll now be promoted to enter your name, your date of birth, and an address. Enter this information and you all set!
You can, but we don't recommend it. We recommend that all family members that need access to a pet's profile create their own user accounts (with their own e-mails/phone numbers). There's an easy way to share the ownership of a pet among multiple users, each having their own set of sign in credentials (e-mail/phone). Refer to "Sharing ownership of Pets".
Yes, it's possible for more than one user to have access to a pet's profile. We've a nifty feature to make this happen! Look for the option "Share Ownership" in your pet's profile. Simply type in the complete e-mail or the phone number of the person you want to share access of your pet with. a) If the e-mail or phone is associated with a registered user of Pet24Care, this action will trigger an e-mail or phone text (SMS) notification to them informing them of your intent; when they sign in, they will see this pet in their account and have the same level of access as you to this pet's profile and activities. b) If the e-mail or phone is not associated with a registered user of Pet24Care, this action will trigger an e-mail or phone text (SMS) notification to them informing them of your intent; once they sign up and create a Pet Parent account, they will see this pet in their account and have the same level of access as you to this pet's profile and activities.
If a pet is already shared, the pet's profile will show a link called "Pet Parents" and the number of co-parents. Click on this link and stop access for this user. You'll see an in-app message confirming that the said user no longer has access to this pet. This action doesn't trigger any notification to the user whose access to the pet was just revoked. Remember that all co-parents have the ability to revoke access for any co-parent including themselves
Look for the option "Transfer Ownership" in your pet's profile. Simply type in the complete e-mail or the phone number of the person you want to transfer access of your pet to. a) If the e-mail or phone is associated with a registered user of Pet24Care, this action will trigger an e-mail or phone text (SMS) notification to them informing them of your intent; when they sign in, they will see this pet in their account and will have complete and sole access to this pet's profile and activities. You (and all current co-parents in case the pet is currently shared) will lose access to the pet and no longer see the pet in your account. b) If the e-mail or phone is not associated with a registered user of Pet24Care, this action will trigger an e-mail or phone text (SMS) notification to them informing them of your intent; once they sign up and create a Pet Parent account, they will see this pet in their account and will have complete and sole access to this pet's profile and activities. You (and all current co-parents in case the pet is currently shared) will lose access to the pet and no longer see the pet in your account.
